At Wine & Barrel Co., we did not set out to build another tasting room. We set out to create a winery built around connection: the kind that happens at the table, at home, and in conversations worth slowing down for. From the beginning, that belief shaped how we make wine, share it, and bring people together.
For many wineries, that story begins in a tasting room. For us, it begins at the table. It begins in someone’s home, during a shared meal, or in the middle of a conversation that brings people together. Wine has always meant more to us when it becomes part of an experience, not the center of a performance.
That belief shaped the way we built Wine & Barrel Co.
A Different Kind of California Winery
When Emanuel founded Wine & Barrel Co., he did not set out to create a traditional winery model. Instead, he wanted to build a wine brand that felt more personal, more intimate, and more connected to the way people actually enjoy wine.
So we chose a different path.
Rather than asking people to come to a tasting room, Wine & Barrel Co. brings the wine experience to them. Through private in-home wine tastings, curated wine dinners, and pop-up wine events, we create moments that feel relaxed, thoughtful, and genuine.
This approach is intentional. We believe wine should feel approachable without losing its sense of craft. It should tell a story without becoming complicated. Most importantly, it should invite people in.
Why Connection Comes First
Wine has a way of slowing people down. It gives a meal more meaning. It turns a simple gathering into something memorable. That is why connection sits at the center of everything we do at Wine & Barrel Co.
A traditional tasting room can be beautiful. However, we wanted to create something closer to home. We wanted our wines to be shared in the places where people already gather: around dinner tables, in kitchens, at private events, and during conversations that matter.
By bringing the wine to you, we remove the pressure that can sometimes come with traditional wine tasting. Instead, we create space for people to learn, taste, ask questions, and enjoy California wine in a more natural setting.
Small-Lot Wines With a Sense of Place
Our approach to winemaking follows the same philosophy. We focus on small-lot California wines made with intention, balance, and transparency.
Wine & Barrel Co. sources exceptional fruit from trusted single-vineyard sites across California, including standout growers in Los Carneros and Napa Valley. These vineyard relationships matter because great wine starts with trust: trust in the land, trust in the grower, and trust in the decisions made from vineyard to bottle.
From there, we craft wines that are honest, balanced, and rooted in a clear sense of place. Every bottle receives hands-on attention. Whether it is the crisp and vibrant 2025 Sauvignon Blanc or Roux, our layered and savory red, each wine reflects care, patience, and purpose.
We do not make wine for spectacle. We make wine for the table.
Private Wine Tastings, Wine Dinners, and Pop-Up Events
As a winery built around connection, Wine & Barrel Co. brings the wine experience to the places where people already gather. Our wine experiences are designed to feel personal, relaxed, and rooted in the moment.
Our private wine tastings bring California wine directly into your home or event space. Through curated wine dinners, we pair small-lot wines with meaningful meals and good conversation. At pop-up events, people can discover Wine & Barrel Co. in relaxed, welcoming settings.
Each experience gives people a closer look at the wines, the vineyards behind them, and the brand’s story. There is no mystery about where the wine comes from or how it is made. Instead, we focus on thoughtful craft, honest storytelling, and wines that speak clearly in the glass.
Join the Wine & Barrel Co. Wine Club
For those who want to stay close to what we are building, the Wine & Barrel Co. Wine Club offers a deeper connection to the winery.
Members receive early access to limited-release wines, preferred pricing, and invitations to private tastings and wine dinners. Each year, the club includes two curated wine shipments selected with the same care that guides everything we do.
However, the Wine Club is more than a subscription. It gives members a way to follow the story, share the wines, and become part of a community built around connection, craft, and California wine.
Members join because they believe wine tastes better when it comes with meaning, intention, and good company.
Where Great Wine Belongs
Wine & Barrel Co. will always be a winery built around connection. We may not have started with a traditional tasting room, but we did start with a place: the table, the home, the conversation, and the shared moment.
For us, that will always be where great wine belongs.
